voltage regulator
I have a 1949ex army G3L. In the 'box of bits' it has a Lucas RB108 AVC. Is this correct for this model please?

Re: voltage regulator
Lucas Parts lists show MCR1 . . . with MCR2 coming in in 1950 for G3s.

Welcome to the Forums, Jerry.
You will probably find the original G3L Army Technical and Inspection Manual useful now and for future issues. All will apply to your WD G3L (if it's a genuine WD model as there are some 'lookalike' ones around), although some army specific part numbers are used occasionally. Groily is virtually a Lucas encyclopaedia so I'd heed his ref to MCR1 and MCR2 for the regulator.
Although dated 1953 the manual was first issued in 1941 to accompany the first G3L models supplied to the military.
The electrical equipment spec's are on page 39 in Section 19.
