The only beer in the van was what Dudley purchased on the cheap to take home for personal consumption!
But yes having the van to carry a few bags and spares did make things a lot easier
It's all just riding motorbikes

A few bags etc, had I have been pulled for a weight check, probably overweight.3 boxes of tools and spares, 3 sets of throw overs, 1 suitcase, 5 overnight bags and ‘Ruby’.

Yes the beer was cheap, you can’t get genuine Czeck Staropranen in the U.K. it’s brewed in Burton on Trent, especially at Euro 1.09 a 500ml can i.e. £0.96.

Riding luggage free made the journey more enjoyable on the older bikes. I'd not have liked to ride that distance carrying everything.
