Just a picture
This showed up in another place, and I thought it might be appreciated on here too. I wonder if anyone recognises any of the people in the pix, or the shop for that matter?

Re: Just a picture
The photo is of 3 ISDT bikes in 1960.
Quite a lot about the proprietor if you Google Angus Herbert motorcycle. He was a successful racer and member of the OWLS Motorcycle Club, Sevenoaks.
I don't do Faecesbook but it might be worth visiting the Toolboxlifestyle pages.

Re: Just a picture
In the programme for the '60 ISDT which was in Austria there were only 3 Matchlesses, all shown as G80's and their riders names listed and all 3 were members of a Kent motorbike club. (The shop in the pic is in Kent).
According to web articles British manufacturers officially boycotted that year's ISDT but made undercover arrangements with dealers to submit a team. It could be that Angus Motorcycles was one of those chosen dealers..............

Re: Just a picture
I knew I had seen that picture before, but couldn't think where and it bugged me till I found it...
It's in Bacon's postwar singles book, but the caption reads... Works Matchless singles used in the 1958 ISDT... with the pressmen from Motor Cycling
