AJS & Matchless Owners Club

I have ordered a new set ( qty 56 ) of head bearings as on dismantling the front end I found that the top had 23 and the bottom 30, which seems an odd number and they look a bit off round.

Can anyone advise what is the correct number for the top and bottom shells?
