Burman Clutch Chain Wheel Bearing Washer

Happy Monday
The work on my G3LS continues: dynamo fully rebuilt and back (thank you Peter de Kremer of Rutland), the gearbox is back in with damaged or worn parts replaced (thanks AJS&MOC for advice and parts).
I just need to finish the primary chain case reassembly.
Whilst reassembling the clutch, I noticed that both chain wheel bearing washers were the same thickness; both appear to be the thick variety 12-10-4.
The 'thin' washer is only about 1 millimetre thinner than the thick one and the bike has been running with the thick washers. I realise that Burman / AMC used different thickness washers for a reason, but as I already have two thick washers and no thin one, can anyone tell me what difference it will make if I use what I have?
Or should I just buy the thin one?
Thanks
Simon
