Still waiting for a response from my application to register a bike I bought without documents from the Chairman. Sent recorded delivery, delivered 18/04/20. 1 month temp insurance cover note will have expired (only 4 weeks issued on frame number) so I am just expecting it to be returned.

Well good sense has prevailed. I finally got fed up waiting and phoned DVLA and a very helpful member of staff (after only a 5 minute wait) confirmed that they had registered the bike yesterday, full years tax and told me the registration number. Insurance updated with the reg number. I just have to fit the Dove anti-sumping tap which arrived earlier in the week and I can finally see what it is like. Front brake may be a bit iffy but I am hoping it will improve as the brake shoes bed in. Being the Norton front wheel its got about double the lining of an AMC brake!
