Hello Kevin, on some bikes with alternator chaincase, and obviously AMC gearbox a belt kit has been fitted. A very expansive job ! New clutch, using Commando parts, spacer between the two chaincase halves, and problem with the crank release valve spitting oïl on the belt...If you add the wet sumping...
Not seriously feasible ! Yes, it is difficult to have an oïl tight tin chaincase, but there lots of topics regarding this problem to solve it on the forum.

If you fit a belt drive you also have to decide how you are going to lubricate the clutch basket bearing, although there is of course the wet sumping option. .

Kevin. In case you're not familiar with the sections of this website I think this is the article to which Jean-Noel refers:

http://www.jampot.com/article_read.asp?id=222

Norvil produce a belt primary kit for some AMC twins and singles ………..so maybe worth checking with them.
Scroll down to Part No. 069777

I also found this ref in a search on these Forums but there's no other info. :
".....one guy in Pennsylvania ("Quiet Power Drive") who manufactures complete kits, to include a dry clutch with a sealed bearing".
