Since I've had the clutch basket re corked by Saftek I ve been getting clutch judder, I have new friction plates and have thoroughly cleaned them.
Set and reset the new clutch cable...
Any ideas??

Hi

Did you soak the new friction plates in oil before fitting? - If not I would.

Failing that I'd guess the friction plates are not quite flat and equal thickness all around, in which case they're operation should improve with use.

Your pressure plate is pulling off evenly isn't it?

Regards Mick

if its a amc clutch are the center rubbers in good condition , if worn out or soft due to oil contamination the clutch operation will be poor

Thanks for the replies, ive soaked the friction plates, now the judder has gone, sometimes sticks when kicking bike over 🤔 but most of the time ok...
Just need to sort out my difficulty in changing down the box, okay going up the box but sticking in gear when trying to change from 3rd to 2nd....I have to stop bike with engine running, and change to first by hand 🤔🤔🤔

All sorted, I can get all the gears up and down....
‘‘Twas the pawl spring” which has to be set/open exact or gear change is not happening...
