Just got the registration back for my Model 8 and have discovered 2 things, Line 2 no longer gives previous owner and my Registration number is not transferable .

If the registration number has been transferred by a previous owner the new number will be non transferable.

I would think the registration is the original as the number plate looks as old as the rest of the bike

It could well be the original reg that it has been allowed to keep on the basis of documents/evidence previously supplied to the DVLA if it had dropped off the system. If the DVLA does that then the number is made non-transferrable, like age-related numbers - it was done in response to underhanded number-plate dealers working the system.
