Hi can anyone advise on the above for a ‘54 G80CS. The dome nut threads are worn and I didn't half bruise my leg tonight when the folding arm separated from the shaft! Only consolation was that I got the bike running after a 50 odd year slumber and all sounds good.

Just for completeness on this post, seems a 3/8” UNF dome nut (a la Commando) does the trick. I also shimmed the bore of the folding arm and got a nice fit. Whole thing feels much more robust now.
