I noticed in this months JP Mag the list of new spares available from the spares Dept. I found the part No. 000703 ( (camshaft shock absorber spring ) a bit misleading to say the least. It got me thinking I had been missing this vital part for many years and may even account for that mysterious tapping/rattle. Having then looked it up it appears to be the cush-drive spring. Phew!! that was a relief.

000703 is " Spring, engine shock absorber " ( 500 c.c. ) I was wondering if it was just a miss print in the advert, but it also has the wrong camshaft spring description for 000703 on the spares list. I am sure the spares people will correct this error.
