Frame sections - 250 or 350?

I have just acquired some more parts so I am again loosely assembling the G5 frame.
Firstly is it normal to have to spread the main frame a little to fit the main channel?
Secondly I think I may have a 250 exhaust bracket channel as the G5 pillion spindle is not going to fit, would it just be a case of shaping the square holes to fit the G5 spindle or is this channel different in other ways?

Thirdly the Riders foot pegs - one of these I believe is wrong - hopefully the slimmer one as the serrations are knackered.

Q1: yes, the weight of the engine hanging off the downtube seems to spread the frame a bit.
Q2: no idea. I have two different spare frames here (see this thread), if either of those is the right one for your bike then you are welcome to have it!

Thanks again Paul, using your pictures I modified mine.
Now what about those footpegs?

Curved foot rest is lightweight the straight footrest is heavy, my guess

I think you might be right there Colin - All I need now is another one of those curved fatter ones ;)

Oh dear, researching here about rear mudguard fitment I came across this topic - http://test.ajs-matchless.com/forum/vie ... 8&start=10
The cradle/frame beneath the engine is the same but the frame/channel (under the gearbox) is longer & different on the 350
was written by Roderick.

If this is so and I've gone and filed out the holes in the gearbox cradle will the mudguard fitment be right?
Does anyone have a G2/M14 cradle to compare with a G5/M8 cradle?

Whilst looking for something else I came across the following article and pics of the L/W frame in the Archives which may be of some help (although I've not read it).......

Thank you Neville but alas no mention of the difference in the 250/350 parts.
