Exhaust pipe + silencer for 1962 350 short stroke

I need to source the correct pipe and silencer for a 1962 G3 350 short stroke.

Armours offer the correct 1-5/8” diameter pipe (https://www.armoursltd.co.uk/product/pipe-ajs-matchless-350-1962-on-short-stroke/) but when I emailed them re. the correct silencer they just suggested any silencer with a 1-5/8” inlet.

To me their silencer for the 650cc twin looks about right (https://www.armoursltd.co.uk/product/silencer-ajs-matchless-650cc-g12-m31-models-1960-0n/) but I'm concerned whether or not the fixing bracket would be in the correct position.

Any suggestions/help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Sean

Hi Sean

I have had an armours pipe and 650 twin silencer on my '63 short stroke and had no issues with fitting. I have since sourced the correct cigar shaped silencer for '63 fitted to the armours pipe.

Thanks James, I have not been able to source for the correct silencer (part number 026589) for the '62 short stoke anywhere so it looks like the G12 will have to do.
