- Brighton Burn Up Sunday Sept 9th -
At the Ace Cafe Reunion, (known as the Brighton Burn Up) Sussex section will have the Club stand (No: S5) on the sea side of Brighton's Madeira Drive promenade with raffle bikes and section bikes. The Burn Up starts from the Ace Cafe at 10.30 a.m. to ride down to Brighton for a grand day out on Brighton's famous seafront road with many trade and club stands and displays, live music and special guests. It opens at 10.30 a.m., (you don't have to join the ride from the Ace Café), is free for anyone to attend, with loads of free parking at the Prom within the event.
8.30 a.m. on a temporarily deserted, chilly and blustery sea front (we had to lash the marquee to the railings ) and we're ready for selling around a grand's worth of raffle tickets.....................
It is said that 10,000 bikes will be there (not all are Sussex section ones) which is quite believable if previous years are anything to go by.........
