Indian Made Rear Sprocket Drum

So have finally got around to fitting up a new rear sprocket drum on my 49 G80 road bike.. Purchased it online months back and pretty sure it is made in India. Would have been good to have options in the purchase but 6 hole 7 inch drums for that year don't appear to be common. Quality wise this unit is not good. The sprocket teeth don't appear concentric in places plus I went to mount it on the wheel hub recently only to find the threaded bolt holes dont align perfectly with the hub holes. Just a smig out so machining is now required. Will make it work as best I can but was wondering, are quality well made sprocket drums still available somewhere??? Thanks

I have a QD one and that'll be going in the bin as it rotates eccentrically!!!

So where does one buy a good quality drum?? Is there no one in the UK or Europe making them???

Now that Andrew engineering have retired I'm afraid the simple answer is no. Not very helpful but sadly the truth.

Guess Andrew engineering's son had no interest. I believe he has his own business.

I bought stuff from Andrew Engineering recently. They're still in business and selling what stock they have. Give them a ring... you may be lucky and they still have one.

I did the rounds for this sprocket a few months ago. had to get a new one cast and machined. Lot of work and never again.

best of luck in finding a good secondhand one.

No. That eBay one's a 5 hole.

This is the 6 hole distributed by Wassells at about £45 and probably made in India.
