Hmmm 1953............could it have left the factory in 1952?
If you are going for correct, in 1952 the rims were silver painted (argentised) due to the chrome shortage during the Korean war.

A 1953 model could have left the factory in 1952. 1953 model year started production Sept 1st 1952. To get 53 models ready for the London Motor Cycle show in Nov 52. You do find most early models being registered Nov / Dec. ( 53 model reg. in Nov / Dec 1952 )
