Wise move Janet, never go by the book running in bore. Take it easy and don't allow the bike to labour. An engine will stop quickly when switched off if tight. So still needs more miles running in. I have run in car engines after about 1,000 miles, but one car took nearly 10, 000 miles. An old engineer friend keep trying that car, he kept on saying it's still tight. It proved to be a good engine, good compression. Pinked if I did not use 97/100 octane fuel.
