Did any one go to the show this weekend? I have been told it seemed that numbers were down and the auto jumble was poor due to pitch prices doubled by Mortons .

Sounds like another show doomed. Surely it is really jumble stalls that bring in the customers.

Sorry, Bristol's too far for me to go on my little bike.

Weather was somewhat wet! Seemed a good crowd to me but as much of the jumble is outside the stall holders didn't look too happy! Thanks to the " Bristol boys" for the bikes there and for manning the stand! I spent more time chatting than buying!

No Roy, I would not manage all the walking about. Let alone hump anything heavy back to my car. Also quite an expense to look for bits, if I ever need any, that I could not get the postman to bring me from club spares.
I relate to greed killing jumbles from the likes of the old jumble at Chelmsford. Some one new takes over, doubles stall prices. Small stall holders or those clearing the shed stop attending. Customers complaining entry price up, hall half empty of stalls, not worth going now.

I made it there today and collected my mug, thanks to all concerned for that arrangement.
Club stand was very smart and looked good. Bought raffle tickets and persuaded my mate Andy to buy some too.
Did get into the auction...some crazy prices..very standard low mileage original Yamaha DT50M £2400!!! Plus 18% commission.. 😮
A nice 59 model 20, all complete and looking nice made £2000....bit of a bargain I thought.
Show seemed pretty quiet... but glad we went.

Ohhh, and near the entrance saw a pair of single crankcase halves ... One nicely stamped 61/GS80C... With engine number. They were in reasonable condition. Asked the trader how much...£500 came the gruff reply!!!
I hadn't noticed the gold plating anywhere on them. 😮

Probably reflects the unique engine number? ;)
