Steve, whilst I can no longer measure the gasket you supplied for my bike as it's currently between the cylinder and head and doing an excellent job of sealing the joint the original that I took off (and measured for Peter) is 0.040" so I apologise if I've caused any confusion. Of course it could be home made or professionally cut but it looks exactly the same.
