AJS & Matchless Owners Club

Having just watched (again) the excellent film, The World's Fastest Indian, it got me googling to see what is the fastest AJS/Matchless on record. I didn't get much joy from my search but I imagine there were a few prepped for the drag strip back in the day.

Anybody have any knowledge on how fast someone has made an AJS/Matchless go?

Just curious that's all
