I believe you should find the tyre is 26" X 3.25" They gave the overall approx. diameter then. I believe the AJS design wheel rim was 19" dia. Wheels were then quickly detachable and interchangeable. So you could carry a spare on the side car rear rack. That wheel would then fit front back and side car. ( All the same size wheel ) You can check out if you have a correct wheel from the very good illustration's in this 1926 detachable wheel booklet. Note the old type flat rim, for wire on tyres. Which is unlike the later Dunlop rim used, from circa 1929 into the post war era.
