just a heads up for anyone who is foot loose and fancy free on Monday 1st May, The Velo club Kent hold a Mayday meet at Hamstreet Village hall Hamstreet south of Ashford in Kent, to be fair if it's got a wheel at each end or even a bit on the side the marque is of no consequence, a replica Bugatti some times turns up, probably be a burger and tea/coffee if I remember to take 'em, and your not far from the RED LION the iconic pub on the marsh little changed since 1911 and in the same family since this date. kind regards

One of my favourite parts of the country. If it was a month later I probably would have been able to make it along.

seeing the 'merry month of May' posting, seems apt to reiterate the Velo club and VMCC meet on 1st may at Hamstreet village hall, I have sourced the 'scran' and just now need to remember to take it, all welcome of course. kind regards

Just got back from Hamstreet, there's nobody there.

It did not start until about 10.00 Brad. I got there about 11.00 and it was heaving and sausage rolls, burgers and teas were in abundance.
Might see you at the Chequers tonight if the rain stops.
