I try to assemble an AJS 18S (500cc) from 1954 and I miss a lot of studs, nuts, screws and washers. So if you have a overview of which studs, nuts, screws and washers there should be used – maybe in sections - frame, crankcase, rocker box an so on I would like a copy of it. Do you know if it is possible to buy set of screws, nuts, studs and washers for my motorcycle. I am available by fax, +45 8689 0660 or by email – the@mail.tele.dk

Missing studs, nuts and screws for AJS 18S from 19
A Spares List is essential and should be the first thing you think of when starting a restoration. Photocopies are readily available from Bruce Main-Smith, and other sources, for reasonable cost. The AJS/M ones are particularly useful because they give the specification for most bolts and studs etc. as well as the part numbers. It will also help with your swinging arm problem. Clearly you should join the Owner's Club. They provide some studs, screws and stud/bolt kits. They also do transfers. Cheers, P
