Very kind of you to offer Bruce! Fortunately I think the problem is resolved.

Took it down to Piston Broke Engineering in Bristol for Steve to have a look at having been recommended him by several other shops that didn't want to look at it. After a poke around he didn't reckon it needed helicoiling, and ran a 3/8x26 cycle thread tap through it by hand. The bolt 014807 now fits in very well.

Johnny, I'll have a poke around the studs as well on your recommendation.

You will know better that I, but I'd assumed that they changed sides for the first CSR.
