Having removed the cylinder head, I have been unable to raise the alloy cylinder, it is stuck firmly to the crankcases. Is there a good method to do this ?
Thanks in advance

Use a rubber mallet, not on fins though. Or put the head only back on, leave barrel loose and kick over, compression may move the barrel.

Have you loosed the top crankcase through bolts Front and rear of the barrel. If still tight these will cause the crankcase to grip the barrel where it enters the crankcases.

The CS has through studs so can be difficult to remove. Keep trying with very careful side taps with the rubber mallet. Don't hit the fins upwards or you will break them.
