i have been offered a g11 csr but i would like to know if is correct or a copy .what would be the frame number and engine number as i presume it would be different than a normal g11

The engine should be date and model stamped. I am sure the frame number yearly series were shared with all other road models for AJS & Matchless. So you would need the Dating officer to confirm from factory records, what model & marque the frame number relates to. I believe the G11CSR was only produced from Jan to Aug 1958
