AJS & Matchless Owners Club

Hi all, a few years back there was news that Les Harris was going to release a Matchless twin, from the little info around I pressumed it was going to be a re-badged 180 deg crank Harris Bonnie.
Consequently I haven't heard any more about the release, the couple of articles I read were talking about 18 months,but that was in 1998! Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

To the best of my knowledge it didn't happen and certainly won't in the future under Les Harris' control - he has sold his interests in the name as was recorded in the motorcycle press about 6 weeks ago. I don't believe the new owner has announced any plans yet

thanks Roger, I hadn't heard about the sale.I hope some good comes from it. Is it someone I would of heard of before ? We are about a month behind for CBG,CB,TCM etc here in Australia. And i buy them sporadically anyway.

Apparently there was once A Plan, but Les Harris has now sold the Matchless name, and has no intention of building bikes ever again!
