Re: P11 and others
Thanks Tony, I will try different solutions on this steel oil tank P11, but I want the tubing to come out as per original , down the right rear tail loop.
It would be nice to view photo of unrestored P11A with seat off, or period (1968) photos of same. Steel oil tank, fiberglass extended seat P11A.
RJD45E looks like the P11A seat has been mounted high enough, in the rear, to clear the existing P11 rear loop........not the most attractive modification.

Re: P11 and others
I seem to remember a person being connected to "Hycam" who came from South London who was also into a wild life sanctuary .....who was that ???...I met him a few times at the "frensham scramble" and I remember he helped me with finding few parts for my G85cs....who was that?....He was a very pleasant man to speak too

Re: P11 and others
Tony, Can the type or series alloy oil tank be related to chassis number? How many early, alloy oil tanks were issued before revising to the welded square alloy tanks?
Earliest alloy on right, next blue paint alloy (with square) is first revision, left most tank is steel construction with bar mounts.
These alloy oil tanks are easily identified by the fill port at front corner.

Also , I don't see, in period photos, an oil vent hose coming back on the rear fender loop on P11A and Ranger 750 models. What happened? Routed to lower chassis as Curzon?

Re: P11 and others
Thanks Tony, I am not aware of the P11A oil tank version. It would be nice to know what P11 chassis numbers used which oil tank.
What is the status of Clint's ULE77F?
I was under the impression that Steve McQueen owned all the scramblers that entered the USA. Maybe this P11A never made it to USA?
I think that left petcock fuel outlet is rubbing the air filter assembly....a required restoration feature!

Re: P11 and others
Tony, Thank you for your info on these P11 questions.
According to this Eastwood photo, I think the right petcock clears by 0.040" or better.
check out - cable clips, fork boot clamps, spark plug caps, control cable routing, hand grips, speedo and rev cable route and clips, gloss black finishes, etc
look at the connection point, in this Eastwood Norton photo, Amal to air box...........it looks different than the pressed alloy sheet metal of earlier P11.
