Hello,
Someone in a previous post suggested a search for this topic but I couldn't find one so thought I'd ask here.
I have a new-old-stock pre-monobloc on my 1947 Model 18 and it leaks from around the bottom of the mixing chamber.
Someone suggested lapping in the needle valve, which I have yet to attempt, but I wanted to ask how? Do I just carefully lap the valve to its seat with some fine valve grinding paste or would metal polish like Solvol be sufficient? I imagine it is all brass so perhaps valve grinding paste would be too agressive?
Many thanks
Mark
