Commercial industrial chain and sprocket suppliers will have the sprockets blanks, heaps of them!
Quite often the supplier will have a contact who will fit the sprocket as part of the service.

I am in the dark about what to expect in the practical
world of industry. There is so little of it in my city. It's
the seat of the Federal Government and not much else.

Glad you revere old Bernie Nicholson. He was a great help to me in my early days of Motorcycling. I would ask him questions about repair
jobs to the Model 31 and he would always answer with great care and
friendliness. First from Saskatoon and then later from Calgary. The last note I got from him was in 1980 or 81. I still keep it around somewhere ...
