Continued from the forum topic as that had drifted off topic to modern AJS
I have checked out the new 350 twin and find the Stellar 350E-SB
which is what I would call a chopper in appearence. There does not appear to be anything other than this design of machine as a 250 or 350, or have I missed something.

Look for the SPT350 on the AJS web site

I thought I would find AJS motor cycles easy enough. Then discover the full range available, price, spec. etc etc some thing along the lines of the sales cats of old. Theres several 125 c.c. models, I did not check for price spec etc. No 250 's just a couple 350's. Are such details as price, perfomance, m.p.g. weight, diamentions etc. etc. no longer consider information a buyer will look for.Edited by - Rob Harknett on 11 Sep 2012 09:40:05 AMEdited by - Rob Harknett on 11 Sep 2012 09:41:11 AM

I had found that site Neville, but never looked deep enough in it to find the machine data.

No worries Rob.
(Seems to me that owners of 'old' AMC bikes are more interested in the Chinese versions than t'other way around )

Yeah but where's the fun in riding something that starts with no effort, goes ok, stops before you wet yourself and only needs servicing after 3 or 4 thousand miles?
we'd all be bored silly and have nothing to talk about on here!
It's all just riding motorbikes

Dave,
If my busted ankle doesn't knit together, and starting up my G11 or G3 becomes a problem, I would be very glad to ride a lighter, powerful enough, stoppable bike which is eligible to take part in Club events, and has the advantage of an electric boot!
But I hope it will not come to that.
Best regards.

3/4 K miles between services ??
That says somethng, or are bikes unlike cars that need a yearly or 10k mile service.
My advice received on these bikes is really they are OK, IF you totaly dismantle it then rebuild it again. Guy I know went out to China working for Perkins engines. Brought a new bike had nothing but trouble, untill he took it completely apart and rebuilt it.
