Someone on the Ajay/Matchy Yahoo group reported that they just ordered a new AMC clutch from RGM Motors - price was reportedly circa 269 pounds.

It was mentioned that Norton and Matchless used the same clutch. Early clutches had individual inserts in the backplate, later clutches had bonded inserts there, and are stronger.

Doing my bit for James Holland tonight. Have a look at the jhsracing.co.uk web site. They have a new NEB billett alloy clutch complete advertised for £340. They are designed for the racing guys with 6 springs but are unlikely to ever give you a problem on the road and at that price for a new clutch are probably not bad value when you consider some of the rubbish that is now on offer at Autojumbles for perhaps half this price but then needs as much spent again to get into working order
