I fitted an oil pressure gauge to one of my bikes (not an AMC machine). It's a 650 twin running 20W50 mineral oil and has a pressure relief valve fitted. Cold start up pressure is 70 psi, hot running pressure is 65 psi and it shows 40 psi at tick-over when hot.

In your opinion, the felt filter missing could lower the oil pressure? In my bike there is a spring where should be the filter...
