Does anyone know the Model 30 primary? As in the number of links for the various years? My suspicion is they are all the same , but just to me safe and wiser , I wonder if anyone (Like William Brown of Brittany)
happens to know .(Or perhaps Don of California) or any other wise ones out there in AJ land? I know the club spares group lists only one chain of 69 links X 1/2" X .305" (or 5/16" . I have a BSA Primary of 69 links. Can I use it on the 31?

Didn't they (BSA/Triumph) use Burman clutches as well as AMC? I have a few Buman chainwheels and they all seem to have the same size sprocket teeth on the
chainwheel .

BSA and Triumph did not use Burman clutches or gearboxes.

Well, Bob :
I rebuilt two BSA's , an A10(1960) and an A 65 . They both used the same 1/2" X 5/16" Renolds Primary chain. I still have an old one downstairs and it looks like the same one as my Model 31 Primary to me, except for the number of links.

Why Dave:
How generous of you ! I will of course, and as soon as possible !
I may have to remove a link to make it fit, but I seem
to recall doing that once before when a primary had
stretched beyond allowable limits.
Is that possible or am I confusing memories with the secondary chain?
