oil union nut

55 18S. I dont have a spanner in my meagre collection to fit the smaller of the two oil union nuts on the oil feed/return pipes What size spanner do i need?

5/16 whit

I strongly advise getting hold of a spare ring spanner of decent make and cutting a slot out of it so it slips over the pipe.
