I am having problems adjusting the rear brake of my (allegedly) 1959 model 16. I can't seem to get the operating arm at less than ninety degrees to the rod. Even if I shim the shoes until the brake binds it's still slightly more than 90. I've also tried moving the arm around a flat but that moves it by sixty degrees and then the rod isn't long enough.
Is it possible that I have the wrong cam or arm fitted? The ancestry of this bike is a little uncertain

try moving the cam 180 degrees, sounds silly I know, sometimes works.
