The cycle light is more than most cyclists have. If you get one of the very latest they can be brighter than the average of our motor bike lights but I dont know what they are perhaps super halogen or even zenon or multi LED it would be interesting to know.

Your right about the new cycle front lights.I have been dazzled by them .Wish i had one with me in the "CAR", yes i was in my car.
