I am looking to buy this bike but am unsure what I should pay.
The bike is complete but has not been run for several years.
It was purchased new by the previous owner who took it to Uraguay in the early 50's. He has kept it to original as best he could but it has several "home made" parts fitted over the years in uraguay and in Australia. It is in very straight condition but needs a major restoration including a engine and gearbox overhaul.
Any idea what it would fetch in the UK?

my guess is £850.00 assuming mudguards are not one of the home made parts, if so knock another £200.00 off. regards andy

Thanks Andy,
no the guards are original and in excellent condition apart from the old paint.
Bits that have been home made are more the brackets etc that hold the headlight, guards ec togther.
It has also had turn lights fitted which I intend to remove and take it back to original.
It an be licensed as "vintage" in Austalia without needing the modern add on bits
It looks like there are some parts available on the Web such as kneepads, decals etc.
Is there a reputable supplier that anyone would reccommend?

G'day Ross
Did I miss a link to a pic of the bike? I agree pretty much with Tonker on a price of about AU$3-5k if its as described.
Most parts are readily available through the club parts scheme in the UK or in Australia at Modak in Melbourne or Jim Eade in Sydney. There are other sellers too who carry a smaller range and don't take credit cards. I can give you details if you like.
