Where are they now?

Post by The Gasoline Hare »

In 1961 I was given a 1935 250cc. Matchless `sloper',model not known for sure but possibly 35/F. It wasn't in working order and had a few parts missing but eventually I got it running and did quite a few miles on it. Reg. No. BWL 326 (Oxford). Alas, mortgage, kids and a new house meant it had to go (in 1968). I have checked the DVLA database and the last date on which it was taxed was 06/01/93. I miss its girder forks and funny little exposed valve springs going up and down. Anyone got had sight of/know anything? Thanks in advance and greetings from a new member.

Might be worth checking the number on

http://www.askmid.com/askmid.aspx

If it returns details of, say, a Porche Carera then you will know that the number has been sold on.

Just checked, and it's not on the database, so it may still be lurking in a shedEdited by - poplargreg on 11 Jul 2008 4:57:35 PM
