Pushrod Tube Seals - I'm confused

The washer 016944 fits concave side down. When you put the cylinder head on you will find the pushrod tube rubber seals will cause the head to be lopsided. Screw down the head bolts adjacent to the pushrod tubes while observing the gap between head and gasket, when the gap is equal all round start tightening in sequence.
