I have a problem finding the position of the 'Matchless' transfer on my 54 GLS rear mudguard (just repainted). Anyone help please.

I would suggest about 1" above the nuts that secure the tail piece.

Thanks for the info Biscuit (Alan). I may ask your advice on the W650 in the near future, (toss up between that and a 'Bonnie'.

Alan, go for the W650! more like an old Triumph than the Hinckley bike. E.g. better ride, more nimble and even sound right. Best bit is they can often be had for less money and they are better equipped as standard too

Plus they don't blue their pipes and the gear/brake lever change over is simpler!
