Sparks Plugs

Post by Elefant60 »

Are NGK B7ES the right ones?

It doesn't start well either. Despite flooding the carburettor and adjusting the choke correctly, it takes at least 4-6 kicks.

Yes, or Champion N5C
Probably just an aging magneto, are you getting good consistent sparks with the plug out of the cylinder?
Tbh, 4 kicks wouldn't alarm me, especially if the bike was warm.

My Model 31 never seemed to be entirely happy with NGK's but Champion N5Cs work well. if it is harder to start when hot it could well be the magneto. Buy plugs from a reputable source, there are many fake plugs for sale.

Spookefoote, what is the equivalent Brisk plug to a Champion N5C - I've often thought about trying them.
