to buy or not to buy

Post by noidea67 »

Good afternoon all.
I have just joined with the initial reason of getting some information as to whether or not to buy my first ever British bike, having spent my whole biking career on Japanese machines
I am now retired and have not ridden a bike for 10 years having had a kit car and sports car since hanging up my boots.
Any input positive or negative welcomed.

Many thanks in advance

Id recommend buying a Matchless or AJS , ideal for a slower pace of life in retirement
Prices are good at the moment if you are buying , plenty of spares available

If you're happy with mechanical involvement - whatever you buy is unlikely to be perfect - then why not? Perhaps make contact with/join the VMCC, who will have a section near you with plenty of people willing to help. Buyer beware as always; preferably take someone knowledgeable with you when you view!
