speedo drive on Q/D wheel

Post by jerry »

is this speedo drive the correct size? It's blocking the access holes for the Q/D wheel. Any answers please? Thanks.

Hi Jerry, if your bike is a G3LWO it would have originally had a front wheel speedo drive however the rear bearing lock ring could be modified to take a rear wheel speedo drive ( see page 35 https://www.jampot.com/archives%5CAJS%2 ... Manual.pdf ), the G3L will have had a rear wheel speedo drive. However I believe that you will find nuts and lock/tab washers inside the hub that means it is not QD.

Thanks very much Duncan for explaining that. I saw the holes and assumed rather than checking😳. The BMS manual makes it all clear. I thought I had found another bodge!
