When adjusting the front wheel bearings on my 1937 350 twinport, the wheel slackens off wather than tightens,Has anyone got a clear diagram of the hub assembly please.
The adjustment ring bears on the outer case of the taper rooler bearings which to me seems wrong.Could the previous owner have missed out a spacer /collar or whatever.
Any info much appreciated.

Re: 1937 model 26 front hub assembly
Hi Nigel
I believe that are generically the same or similar to later ones up to the one piece spindle. There is a circlip that holds one outer race in place with spacers and grease washers also installed, the adjuster on the others side bears on a similar assembly and moves the outer race inwards when tightened, the tapered rollers, their inner race and spacer are integral on the bearing.
I had a quick look on the archive and found this file that may help: http://archives.jampot.dk/book/Workshop ... dition.pdf look at page 136.
The assembly looks a bit like this rear wheel one: https://www.amoc-parts.com//store/comer ... duct=24314
