Beading for rear frame cover

Post by AFPU »

Hi

I am coming to the finishing stages of my rebuild and am wondering as to whether the beading to the edges of the rear frame cover should be fixed (glued I presume) to the rear frame cover or just trapped between the oil tank and battery compartment bodywork?

If trapping it holds it in position that's OK. If not there's no harm in gluing it.

You could also use panel edge trim protector strip which grips the panel, it’s available in black, blue or red.
