Hi Clive. Thanks for the info. I dont know if the rear wheel is a Norton. I can just describe it. The 42T sprocket and brake drum are combined and there are 5 hex heads ( clamping nuts I presume) sticking through the aluminium disc at the speedo drive side.

63 is too late for my bikes but a rear wheel with 5 bolts through the aluminium disc on the speedo side does not sound like an AMC wheel to me. Checking the dealers posters in the archives it would appear that Norton wheels front and back came in 1964. Not sure they had the 5 bolts you describe either. Someone here will know better.

Hi
Looking at the parts listings for a 1963 G12 it lists the part number as 029206 SPROCKET & BRAKE DRUM.

1963 model year bikes used the interim hub which is secured to the brake drum/sprocket by 5 long head bolts (available from club spares) that protrude through the aluminium disc. I don’t believe anyone is making the sprocket/drum for this year so you may have to get the teeth machined off your present drum and a new tooth ring shrunk on, if you can find someone thar can do it. I’ve never seen one come up on eBay in the UK but did secure a complete rear wheel from Australia. If you can’t find one in South Africa or Zimbabwe, then the USA might also yield results but postage would probably be a killer.
