AJS 1956MS - Tank Lining Decal... Which One?

Post by PhilAshton »

Hi.

I'm in the process of preparing my tank for restoration.
The existing lining is a recent, hand painted application and is definitely a 'bodge'.
I want to fit the correctly spec'd lining transfer for the bike.
Classic Bike Transfers have 2 alternatives available.... one is shorter in length than the existing bodge, one longer.

Can some kind member with an original lined tank for the above bike kindly measure the lining length and breadth so I can acquire the correctly spec'd transfer.

The images show the two options available for transfers

Thank you.

Phil

The second one looks completely wrong for the models from the 1950s
