Re: G2CSR cylinder head gasket not fitting
Sorry for late response.
I took cylinder head off today and the copper ring was damaged from being too small. I measured the lip on my 1965 G2csr and it was 78.45mm.
I do have pictures of damaged composite gasket if needed.
Regards Roger.

Re: G2CSR cylinder head gasket not fitting
It's ok we've had the manufacturers in and they have agreed that there has indeed been an issue with the fit. Fortunately we had a barrel in the second hand stock that we've put into our test area for future reference.
I've also agreed that we need surplus stock as a gesture of good will for faulty items that have been shipped within the last 12mths so if you'd like to email the presidents contact e-mail address on the inside of the Jampot I'll collate a list and we can arrange replacements. I'll need invoice details if at all possible to save me from trawling through the system to find it. PLEASE note it has to be a purchase within the last 12mths only. I couldn't get anymore out of them.

Re: G2CSR cylinder head gasket not fitting
Guys I haven't forgotten you, I've just had notification from the suppliers that they want to drop the composite and swap your replacements with solid copper like the originals. Hopefully that'll be satisfactory.
I have a list of people to work through and will start the ball rolling within the next week once we have the supplies.
Rob

Good piece of work on behalf of the club and members, thanks Rob. To help Rob invoice numbers can be found by logging yourself into the spares page and then clicking on "your orders".
