Clutch thrust rod
1954 G9 Burman gearbox, fitted the 11 plates starting with the steel (just managed to push the springs enough to get the spring nuts on) after fitting the 5/16 ball bearing and the 10 3/16 thrust rod which was in 2 pieces) the adjuster goes to its max with the adjuster nut off before touching the thrust rod
I found an old thrust rod and replaced the smaller section of thrust rod with another length 1/4 longer.
Waiting for parts so can’t try it, but is this right? Have I missed something?.
Clutch lever in gearbox working as it should...

Re: Clutch thrust rod
How good is the lifter mechanism at the kickstart end? If the plunger has worn away to form a dimple (which most of them have) then you lose approx 1/4" off adjustment
